

Mr. Tucker was a native of Bulloch County and he and his wife lived for 10 years in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, where he was a painting contractor. He returned to Bulloch County in 1964, to his farm in Register. After retiring from farming in the late 1970’s, he owned and operated the NAPA Auto Parts Store in Metter until the 1980’s. He was a proud member of the U.S. Navy during World War II, serving as a gunner on a battleship that traveled through several countries. He was of the Baptist faith. Bernard was most recently a tree farmer and was active with the American Tree Farmers Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, Troy “Kid” and Pauline Wilson Tucker, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Mr. Tucker is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Robbins Tucker of Register; sons, Gerald B. Tucker, Jr. and his wife, Jeanie of Register and Troy Evan Tucker and his wife, Tiffany of Metter; daughter, Barbara Tucker Peacock and her husband Ted of Brooklet; brother, James Tucker of Register; special sister-in-law, Alma Robbins Goodwyn of Statesboro; 3 grandchildren, Jerica Tucker, Ethan Peacock and Emily Peacock; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2014.
Burial will be in Lower Lotts Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
