
Harlene was born and raised in San Diego, California and moved to Statesboro in 1975. She worked as a seamstress for many years with several local shops and was a homemaker. Harlene was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was an avid reader and enjoyed crafting, painting and cross stitching.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Arlo and Ruth Lightheart Dubber and her son, Tim Reed.
Harlene is survived by her husband of 58 years, Wilber T. Edwards of Statesboro; three sons, Donald Edwards and his wife, Debbie of Statesboro; Wayne Edwards and Sonya Malloy of Statesboro and David Edwards and his wife, Rashelle of Brooklet; daughter, Cyndi Edwards of Statesboro; sister, Joanne Crummy of Arkansas; 8 grandchildren and two great grandsons; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 6:00 PM Monday, December 12, 2016 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Cameron Cowart officiating.
The family will greet friends after the service in the church.
