Mr. Ludlam was a native and lifelong resident of Brooklet and was a graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School. Joseph was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and had worked as a truck driver with Vantage Truck Lines. He was also a machinist and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Cornelius Ludlam, Jr. and Bertha Ludlam Morris; step-father, Jessie Morris, sisters, Ella Beasley and Elizabeth Herring.
He is survived by son, Robert John Ludlam, of Norfolk, VA; daughter, Anna Nichole Ludlam, of Brooklet; sister, Elinor L. Carter, of Savannah.
Visitation will be 1:00 to 3:00 pm Saturday, March 29 in Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, March 29, in the chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Watts officiating.
Burial will be held privately in Brooklet City Cemetery.
