I used to play with Karen many many years ago when we were young.  She was a very sweet girl.  My deepest sympathies are with you and your family.

Karen was God's Beautiful Special Gift of Love and Joy to us and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her parents, Gwen and Willard, opened the world to Karen, taking her on cruises to places all over the globe. Their ever-faithful love and diligence provided Karen with a life full of new experiences and opportunities. Under tutorship of Professor Michael Braz, Karen played the piano - she sung with her church choir, she helped in many good causes like missions after Katrina. Karen was a computer whiz on Google research where she found everything she could about topics of interest. It would take volumes to record all her accomplishments. Karen's friendly smile and hugs filled the receivers with gladness and love.
We were "Aunt Fern" and "Uncle Bob" to Karen. Karen and I had monthly "adventures" whether it was  the Georgia Southern Museum, the latest 'boro restaurant, "window shopping" in the new boutiques, etc. She also helped me grocery shop and could always find the item I was looking for and missed. On the way home, she entertained me singing hymns, popular songs, and we laughed at our attempts to speak German. When I was recuperating from a fall, she brought me this most unique Forever Flower, one of the few treasurers I kept when we moved to Virginia. How Blessed we are that Karen was such an important part of our lives and will cherish those memories forever.  Fern McMahon

I was very sorry to hear of Karen's passing. As a young girl she road my bus from Gateway. I was the driver and Miss June was my aid. She was a lovely young lady that I'm sure grew into a lovely woman. She had such a pleasant personality.I still have a little pearl angel that she made for me and put it on my tree every year.
