Although we never met, Kathy and I always knew that we were soul sisters. We became friends by chance and found a bond that only sisters have. I will miss our long chats about life and the love we both shared for our children. A piece of my heart has gone with you my darling Kathy.

My Dear 1st Couin Kathy. Mine and your mom & my mom being sisters, neither of us having sisters but being told how much we looked alike, early childhood friends, having our babies together, loving grandparents sharing so much until Michael and I moved to NC in 1994. Being taught to believe and realize God’s purpose for us is to be a mother. You were one of the best. Memories of our playing paper dolls, etc. A wonderful daughter, friend, mother, grandmother, etc. I am so glad we were able to go back to Statesboro this weekend from NC to visit Aunt Dorothy and all of your family. Some I had not seen since Jincey and Mitchell. You are finally at rest free of pain with Jesus and with all of your loved ones in heaven. I can feel Grandma Jewel Sparks love surrounding you now.

Happiness and kindness are fragile conditions, so when someone with legitimate cause to complain instead meets the world with an abundant generosity of both, it is a rare magnificence of spirit. An inspiration. A blessed gift. Kathy Davis was my friend, and the honor of that grace will forever humble me. I will miss her in this world, and rejoice upon our meeting in the next. Sing with angels, Kathy.
