

Kenneth Doren Rowe, age 84, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. He was a native of Nashville, GA but resided in Brooklet, GA since 1972. Mr. Rowe was a Heavy Equipment Operator, Farmer and Truck Driver. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed gardening, watching martin birds, driving his tractor, and taking care of his pets. Mr. Rowe was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Pearl Rowe; and his three brothers, Eston Rowe, William Henry Rowe, and Nelson Rowe.
Mr. Rowe is survived by his wife, Mabel Cox Rowe of Brooklet; his two sons, Kenneth O. Rowe of Brooklet and Darrell Rowe (Liesl) of Brooklet, his daughter, Sheryl Rowe Lewis (Dwayne) of Brooklet, one sister-in-law, Emolois Rowe of Nashville, GA, seven grandchildren – Justin Rowe, Kenna Rowe, Christina Martin (Charlie), Josh Rowe, Tiffany Rowe, Terrell Lewis and DeAnn Lewis, four great-grandchildren – Caleb Yount, Layla, Madison and CJ Martin, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 23 from 6 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
The funeral service will take place Saturday, August 24 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Terrell Lewis, Josh Rowe, John Rowe, Ron Rowe, Charlie Martin, and Jake Bland.
Honorary pallbearers will be Eudene Nesmith, Noel Creasey, Delmore Hendley, Duane Deloach and Danny Deloach.
Burial will take place Saturday, August 24 at 5:00 p.m.at Rowetown Church Cemetery in Nashville, GA .
