Letherine "Kitty" (Hill) Steptoe

Letherine “Kitty” Steptoe, age 84, passed away, Wednesday, February 21, 2018 in Arizona Premiere Care Home in Mesa, Arizona.

Kitty was born and raised in Bulloch County and attended local schools and had lived in Mesa, Arizona since 2006. She retired from Statesboro Telephone Company after 40 years of service, where she worked as a telephone operator and then in the accounting department. Kitty was a member of Statesboro Primitive Baptist and The Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 18.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Bessie Perkins Hill; her husband, Jack Thomas Steptoe; her sister, Atheline Donaldson; and her brothers, Roscoe Hill and Robert Hill.

She is survived by her sons, Daniel “Dan” Steptoe of Statesboro and Victor Hill Steptoe of Acworth; three grandchildren, Brittney Erin Steptoe of New Orleans, LA; Dillon Steptoe and Chase Steptoe both of Colorado; several nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 5:30 to 7:30 PM Thursday, March 1st in Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held 1:30 PM Friday, March 2nd in Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Randy Waters officiating.

Burial will follow in Eastside Cemetery.
