Mrs. Hendrix was a native of Screven County and a lifelong resident of Bulloch County. Lillian worked at Howard Johnson in Statesboro for many years and retired from the Statesboro Dairy Queen with over 30 years of service. She was a member of Merrywood Baptist Church and was a lifelong member of the Georgia Baptist Association’s WMU. Lillian loved the Lord and her family, putting them first in all that she did. She loved to cook and crochet and will be dearly missed. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Ruben Hendrix and many brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Hendrix is survived by 3 sons, William Hendrix and his wife, Eva Jean of Brooklet; Carlton Hendrix and his wife, Karen of Darien and Uley Hendrix and his wife, Marge of Statesboro, daughter, Janet H. Wise and her husband, Bobby of Statesboro, sisters, Ruby Mock and Minnie Brower both of Statesboro, 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, January 15, 2015 in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with the Reverend Bob Green officiating.
Burial will be in Hendrix Cemetery.
