Mack Blane Moye, age 65, passed away early Thursday from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was a native of West Virginia and lived many years in Garden City before moving to Statesboro in 2005. Mr. Moye was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam War. He retired from Gulfstream after thirty five years of service and had been a truck driver for the past ten years. He was preceded in death by his great granddaughter, Dakota Thompson.
Survivors include his wife of forty three years, Linda Moye of Statesboro; his son, Kevin (Jennifer) Moye of Ellabell; his daughter, Trisha (Ashley) Hazard of Brooklet; one brother, John Earl (Hee) Moye, II of Tacoma, Washington; two grandchildren, Christina (Joe) Thompson, and Bridgette (Christopher) Gibbs; great grandchildren, Kaydence, Andrew, and Joshua Thompson, and Ryan Gibbs, Jr.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Joe Thompson, Chris Gibbs, Ashley Hazard, Mack Roberts, Ledell Sheley, Aaron Walker, Jr.
Interment will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
