

Phillip Ray Reynolds, age 27, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 29, 2017.
Phillip was a loving husband, father, son, brother, soldier, and friend who will be deeply and sadly missed. Mr. Reynolds graduated from Kaplan University October, 2016 with an Associate of Applied Science in Business , magna Cum Laude. For over 9 years he had proudly served as a soldier of the U. S Army. SSG Reynolds was a member of Company A, 177th Brigade Engineer Battalion where he served as the Training NCO. His prior assignment was with the 48th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. He also served for 3 years as a member of the Honor Guard team. During his career, he received 3 Army Achievement Medals, 1 Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, Noncommissioned Officers Professional Development Ribbon 2nd award, 3 Georgia Commendation Medals, 3 Georgia Humanitarian Service Ribbons, 3 Georgia State Active Duty Ribbons, and Air Assault Badge, Rams Head Device and Urban Master Breachers Course.
Survivors include his wife, Kimberly V. Reynolds; son, Braxton Reynolds; mother, Christy Dutton; sisters, Vanessa Gardner, Destiny Graham, Summer Dutton and Wyldeflower Dutton; brother, Corey Dutton; mother- in- law, Delana Owens; fathers-in –law, Joey Vincent and Eddy Owens ;uncle, Anthony Reynolds (Glorie); sisters-in-law, Jennifer Prince and Ellie Vincent; brother-in-law, Justin Owens; the brothers and sisters of the USMVMC; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, K. Ray Reynolds and Geneva Dale Cantrell.
A gathering of family and friends will be held. 5-7 p.m. Saturday evening, April 1, 2017 at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home in Statesboro, Ga.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with Chaplain Jimmy L. Bellamy, Jr. officiating.
Inurnment will follow on Friday, April 7th, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Ga.
