On Wednesday, September 27, 2023, Angela (Angie) Bustle Pendergrass, of Cattleman’s Road, Statesville, passed away at the age of 58. She was born on August 27, 1965, in Iredell County, to Ethel Faye Cumby, and the late Montie Burette Bustle.
Angie was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her unwavering love for family was evident in every aspect of her life. Family held the key to her heart, and she dedicated herself to keeping them close and to making everyone feel welcomed and special.
Angie's smiling face was a constant presence, even during the most challenging times. Her infectious warmth and boundless love enriched the lives of all who knew her.
Angie found immense joy in two of her greatest passions: traveling and the beach. In January, she fulfilled a lifelong dream by visiting Memphis, Tennessee, and touring Elvis Presley's iconic mansion, Graceland. The trip was a testament to her boundless spirit, as she never stopped smiling throughout the entire journey.
Angie's laughter was contagious, her sense of humor was legendary, and her heart was endlessly loving. She touched the lives of those fortunate enough to cross her path. Her ability to bring light and happiness to even the darkest of moments was truly remarkable.
Angie dedicated nearly 20 years of her life to a meaningful career as a nursing assistant at Gordon Hospice House. Her compassion and dedication shone brightly as she cared for patients with a level of warmth and care that transcended the ordinary. Angie's presence gave hope to those who had none, earning her the title of a "one-of-a-kind angel" in the hearts of those she served.
While we grieve the loss of this extraordinary soul, we also celebrate a life well-lived. Angie leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to family, friends, and the countless lives she touched. Her memory will forever warm our hearts, and she will be profoundly missed by all who were privileged to know her.
