Ann Jane Merrill

Ann was born in Greenville, SC, March 2, 1912, the daughter of the late Joseph Carr and Sally Anne Paige Suddeth. She was a retired textile worker and a graduate of Easley High School in Easley, SC. She was a faithful member of Front Street Baptist Church.

On June 25, 1933, she married Lonnie Elbert Merrill who preceded her in death on August 8, 1944. She was also preceded in death by her son: Lonnie Allan Merrill on July 24, 2010; four sisters and four brothers.

Ann is survived by two daughters, Jo Anne Horn (John) of Charlotte and June Crocker (Seburn) of Mooresville; daughter-in-law, Ethel Merrill of Mooresville; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with the Revs. Darren Johnson and Marvin Boyer officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral hour. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
