Beryl Lucille Preece Immesberger

Born on July 22, 1934 in the Bronx, New York, she was the daughter to the late Carolina and Claude Preece. She was educated in the Bronx and New York City and was employed in the executive offices of the American Can Company in Greenwich Connecticut. Beryl and her late husband left the corporate world briefly in 1978. They then purchased and operated the LaGrange Motel in Dutchess County, New York for five years. Then she returned to the corporate world in 1983. They retired in 2001 and relocated to Statesville, North Carolina. Once in Statesville she became involved in the Newcomers Club, volunteered with Yokefellow Ministries and the Salvation Army as well as the Statesville Women’s Club. Beryl also became a member of Eastern Star Statesville Chapter 214, Trinity Episcopal Church and Associate member of First Presbyterian Church of Statesville.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Emil “Budd” Immesberger and brother, Claude Preece.

Left to cherish her memory are her three step-sons, 3 sons, Eric (Carrie), Richard (Stacie), and Todd (Amy) Immesberger, 8 grandchildren, Daniel, John, Mark, Kate, Ashley, Blake, Rayna, and Kiera and nephew, Claude (Kathy) Preece Jr.

The family will receive friends at Bunch-Johnson Funeral home on Monday, February 25, 2019 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM.

The funeral serving honoring Mrs. Immesberger’s life will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Iredell Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
