

Mr. Bill Jordan, 76, of the Cool Spring Community, passed away Wednesday, November 16th at Iredell Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born on March 10, 1935, in Iredell County, to the late Howard and Emma D. Jordan. He attended Iredell County schools, and retired from Biltright Chair Company after 29 years of dedicated service. Bill was of the Baptist faith, and attended Union Chapel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of more than 50 years, Jessie Albea Jordan; brothers Conrad Jordan and Mebane Dishman; and sister Rita Boswell.
Mr. Jordan is survived by his three children, Steve Jordan (Tammy), Debbie Lavoie (Roger), and Lisa Jordan, all of Statesville. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Amanda Wright (Michael), Melissa Bustle (Robert), Amber Kittrell (Bobby), Leslie Driver (Scottie), Lauren White, and Carli White; seven great-grandchildren, Megan Bustle, Natalie Bustle, Chloe Kittrell, Dylan Kittrell, Aiden Wright, Abbey Wright, and Greyson Driver; siblings Comer Jordan, Sarah Tayes, James Dishman, Elda Dishman, and Mary Williams; numerous nieces and nephews; and good friends Carlton Galliher and Amanda Hawkins.
Paw was a family man, who liked to go fishing often and work in his garden. He loved watching racing, old movies and spending time with his family and friends. Our dad, grandpa, brother, “Paw,” and friend will be greatly missed.
Arrangements are being handled by Bunch Johnson funeral home, and services will be held on Saturday, November 19th. Visitation will begin at 2pm, and will be immediately followed by the service at 3pm in the Westmoreland Chapel. The Reverend William Wease will be officiating, with interment to follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be James Dishman, Homer Jordan, Robert Bustle, Bobby Kittrell, Shannon Gantt and Joshua Gantt.
