

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Alene Gibson Lippard and devoted sons; Timothy W. (Caroline Roder), Danny C. (Kim Pettus) Jeffrey G. (Linda Meyers Lippard) Jerald L. (Lisa Mayberry Lippard); all of Statesville, NC; Grandchildren; Timothy L. (deceased), Christopher W., Jason L. (Amanda), Jacob D. (Mark VanArnom), Julie L. Smith (Barry Jr), Danelle L. Milsaps (Dustin), Jeremy Mitchell (Terry); and eight Great Grandchildren, Makayla, Lawson, Barry James, Paxton L, Paxton D, Gunnar, Tristin and Chandler. Mr. Lippard is also survived by a sister, Sue Lippard Davidson (Frank); sisters-in-law Mary Lois Lippard and Alice Redmond (John) and brother-in-law Bill L. Gibson (Joyce) and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a lifelong member of Rose Chapel United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir and held many positions within the church. Mr. Lippard was a graduate of Scotts High School and after 35 years of service, he retired from Roadway Express Trucking.
Services will be at Rose Chapel UMC and Cemetery on Wednesday 2pm with the Reverend Ralph Lepley, Lynne Lepley and Cokie Bristol Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall after the service. Pallbearers for the service include: Jason Lippard, Jacob Lippard, Joe Lippard, Barry Smith Jr., Mark VanArnom and Gary Austin.
