Miss Carla Denise Allison

Miss Carla Denise Allison was born on July 2, 1960, to the late James and Mary Lee Allison in Statesville, North Carolina. On Friday, July 17, 2026, Carla peacefully received her heavenly wings and entered her eternal home.

Carla accepted Christ at an early age and joined First Baptist Church in Statesville, North Carolina. She graduated from West Iredell High School with the Class of 1979. Following graduation, she proudly enlisted in the United States Army, where she faithfully served her country before receiving an honorable discharge.

Throughout her career, Carla worked in the textile industry, healthcare, and several other fields. She spent many of her early adult years in Sacramento, California, where she enjoyed working, building lasting friendships, and helping others. As her health declined, Carla returned to her hometown of Statesville, North Carolina, where she remained surrounded by family.

Carla was preceded in death by her beloved parents, James and Mary Lee Allison; her brother, Harlen Alexander; and her sisters, Sylvia Smith and Bonita Allison.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her children, Angel Garcia of Sacramento, California, and Alexis Garcia of Statesville, North Carolina; her sisters, Helen Summers and Carolyn Allison, her brothers, James Allison (Sylvia) and John Allison (Tammy), all of Statesville, North Carolina, and Keith Allison of Clemmons, North Carolina. She also leaves behind a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

A service to celebrate Carla’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home in Statesville, North Carolina.
