Carolyn Hale Chesser

Born March 8, 1950 in Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Margie Calabrese. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Hale and Michael Hale; one nephew, Jimmy Hopper and her husband Pete Chesser.

Mrs. Chesser enjoyed shopping, fishing, country music and line dancing. She was a huge avid Elvis Pressley fan and she enjoyed spending time with her family.

From 1970 till 1987, she lived in California, working in several industries and worked for Capitol Records for some time. Upon moving back to North Carolina, she decided to make Statesville her home.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Joseph Baker and Chris Baker; one daughter, Diana Anderson and husband Robert; one grandson, Ethan Pecoraro, all of Statesville; one brother, Larry Hale of Hawaii; nieces and nephew, Lailani Paddilla, Christina Hale and Joshua Hale, and many cousins and extended family.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM in the Westmoreland Chapel of the funeral home. Burial will be held at Oakwood Cemetery.
