Carolyn J. Malone

Carolyn J. Malone, 75, of Statesville, NC, formerly of Salineville, OH, died peacefully in her sleep at her home on Saturday, July 30, 2011.

She was born January 13, 1936, in Palmyra, Missouri, and was the daughter of the late Austin L. and Minnie Chatfield Malone. She lived most of her life in the Salineville area and graduated valedictorian from Salineville High School in 1954. After school, she worked at the Columbinia County Courthouse and retired after 25 years from the Jefferson County Courthouse. Soon after the death of Al Girone, Carolyn moved to Statesville, NC, in 1995, where she enjoyed her yard and flowers. She played the piano and her biggest joy was reading and studying the Bible along with her strong faith in God (Psalm 43:1-5).

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Barry Malone.

Carolyn is survived by four brothers, Richard Malone of Homestead, FL, Jerry Malone of Salem, OH, Ron Malone of Spring, TX, and Don Malone of Statesville, NC; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; and many great friends.

Graveside services will be held Friday, August 5, 2011, at Woodland Cemetery in Salineville, OH.
