

Mr. Lippard was born in Iredell County, and worked as a maintenance supervisor and retired from International Paper Company, and later worked for Iredell Container.
Larry and his late wife, Polly, were faithful and active members of Front Street Baptist Church for over 50 years.
He loved his family and stood behind his wife and supported her in her business, Oakland Heights Daycare. Larry took care of Polly as her health declined and she preceded him in death in 2002.
In addition to his mother and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jackie Lippard, a sister, Sylvia Hefner, and a son-in-law, Danny Fox.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Patti Lippard Fox, Sandy Lippard Mills and husband Noble B. Mills, II, and Larry Allen Lippard, all of Statesville; his three grandchildren, Melissa Fox Simmons and husband Paul, Jeremy Lee Fox and Christopher Ray Fox.
He is further survived by one great-granddaughter, Madeline Simmons and one sister, Carolyn Goodin, and several nieces and nephews.
A service of celebration for family, extended family and close friends will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Beau Mills officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Reception for family and close friends will be at the funeral home following the service.
