Cynthia Alexander Strauss, 67, of Mooresville (formerly of Statesville and Greensboro), passed away on December 31, 2020 at Gordon Hospice House following a long illness. A native of Iredell County, she was the daughter of the late Joe Blaine and Helen Shook Alexander. She was a former member of Sharon Lutheran Church and was also a member of First Lutheran Church in Greensboro. She was a Computer Programmer.
Mrs. Strauss is survived by her husband of 45 years, Phillip Sterling Strauss, of Mooresville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brother, Eric Alexander and his wife LaDonna, of Statesville.
Mrs. Strauss will lie in repose at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM and again on Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 12 Noon. A service of Witness to the Resurrection will be held at Sharon Lutheran on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
