David Lee Moore

Mr. David Lee Moore, 63, of 2470 Salisbury Hwy, Statesville, died Tuesday, November 22nd at Davis Regional Medical Center. Born in Iredell County on June 25, 1948, he was a son of the late Robert Lee Moore, Sr. and Lorene Money Moore. He worked for many years as a supervisor for Statesville Roofing Company and at the time of his death he was owner and operator of M & M Guttering Company. He enjoyed fishing and old cars and loved playing with his grandchildren and his dogs, Luther and Choco.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Allen Moore, a step son, Roger Robinette and a brother, Charles Edward Moore.

Survivors include two daughters, Melissa Morrison and her husband, David of Statesville and Dawn Riestenberg and her husband, Robert, of Clarksburg, W. Va., step children, Darrell Robinette and Melissa Anzini. Also surviving are 6 brothers, Robert Lee Moore, Jr. of Lenoir, Jerry Moore of Olin, Donald, Larry, Ray and Gary Moore of Statesville and four sisters, Sue Williams of Olin, Betty Smith of Harrisburg, Ill., Pat Marlow of Statesville and Kay Wimbley of Hickory. Also surviving are nine grandchildren. Also surviving is his special friend, Sandra Bursey.

Services celebrating David's life will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 25th at Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens. the family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 Friday prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times will be assembled at the home of Louise Moore at 2470 Salisbury Hwy.
