Statesville, NC- Mrs. Debra Ann Parsons, 59, passed away on Sunday, March 11 at CMC-NorthEast in Concord. She was born April 28, 1958 in Iredell County the daughter of the late David Eugene Cook, Sr. and the late Barbara Ann Norkett Cook. She was retired from the Iredell/Statesville Schools. She loved all types of animals, wind chimes, lighthouses and birdhouses. She also loved her family and her church family very much.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Becky Jean Cook.
Those left to cherish her memory is her husband of 40 years, Ricky Parsons, her daughters Shanna Nicole “Nikki” Canup (Henry) of Olin and Allison Rhea Parsons (Mindi Shirk) of Statesville, her brother: David Eugene Cook, Jr. and granddaughter Heather Nicole Davis.
The family will receive friends at Yadkin Baptist Church on Thursday March 15 from 4:00pm until 5:00pm. A memorial service will follow at 5:00pm with the Rev. Tony Bunton officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the family to help offset the cost of the funeral service.
