Mrs. Delaney Rucker Holland "Meme"

Born May 31, 1927 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter to the late Jeffery and Beatrice Mattox Rucker. She was an icon to all that knew her. She was a loving and caring mother and a "Meme" to all.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Henry Holland; brothers, Hollis Rucker and BJ Rucker; sister, Geneva Moore; grandson, James Bellamy Jr.; great-granddaughter, Tyesha D. Oglesby and step-son, James Holland.

Left to cherish her memory, Joann Oglesby, Mary Sharpe, Scott Holland, Faye Mason and Patricia (James) Bellamy; grandchildren, Catherine Oglesby, Teresa Oglesby, Angie Oglesby, Travis Oglesby, Eveyln Durrett, Sophia Sharpe, Charles (Tiffany) Sharpe Jr., Deon Sharpe, Teon (Dawn) Mauney, James (Jaketta) Mauney Jr., Scott Holland Jr., Daphine (Rommel) Alleyne; 26 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Minnie Lee Martin and Ida Mae Martin; brother, Hatchett (Martha Ann) Rucker and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family members.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 12pm at New Life Missionary Baptist Church in Troutman. Burial will follow in Belmont Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11am to 12pm at the church prior to the service.
