Donald Lee Simonton

He was born October 17, 1948, in Iredell County and was a son of the late John Wesley and Virginia Weaver Simonton. He retired after 25 years from Bernhardt Furniture Manufacturing. Donald was a triplet and was preceded in death by his infant brother and sister.

Survivors include a sister, Betty Jo Simonton; a brother, Gilbert Jason Simonton, both of Statesville; two aunts, Mary Weaver Howard of Statesville and Louise Weaver of Cleveland, OH; a special friend, Robert "June" Stevenson of Statesville; and many cousins, relatives and friends.

Services celebrating Mr. Simonton's life will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, January 10, 2014, in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the services and at other times will be assembled at the home of his sister, Betty.
