

Born March 31, 1937 in Iredell County, he was the son of the late William Espy Harris and Mattie Mae Tomlin Harris.
Mr. Harris graduated from the Iredell County schools, worked as a mechanic and retired from Cabinet Makers, Inc. He also was a veteran of the United States Army.
He enjoyed wood working and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Mary Grace Rouche, “Dood” Harris, Homer Harris, Pete Harris and Eugene Harris.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Gale Walton Harris of the home; daughters, Karen Harris Lowe (Brian Beaver) of Cleveland, Amy Harris Matney (Kenneth) of Statesville, Tina Crisco Coe (Anthony) of Salisbury, and Renee Crisco Johnson of Concord. He is further survived by eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one brother, William Tony Harris (Edith) of Statesville.
The family will receive friends Monday, December 8, 2014 from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with the service honoring Coot’s life beginning at 3:00 PM in the Westmoreland Chapel of the funeral home with Dr. James R. Speece officiating. Interment will be at Iredell Memorial Gardens with military honors.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Lowder, Brandon Crouch, Kevin Harris, Justin Holbrook, Kenneth Matney, Brian Beaver, Allen Shepard and Scott Harris.
