many years ago i got in trouble for something i did not do. It was the only time i ever got in trouble. Sgt Gemes was very nice to me. A part of me believed he knew i was innocent. He was a kind and good man. I just wanted you to know i cried when i heard you had passed. I am 57 years old now and a minister. I will see you one day in heaven. Thank you for your kindness

I don't know if the family will see this but I wanted to send my condolences. I found out about his death today and I immediately started remembering times I spent around Mr. Gemes. My Father Charlie Vanhoy worked with Mr. Gemes for several years at the police department. I was just a child but I remember watching Mr. Gemes and my father tell stories and joke together. I am sorry for your loss and wish you all the best.
