Erma Lee Jarvis

She was a native of Iredell County, born July 7, 1934 the daughter of the late Clarence and Hester Shumaker.

Mrs. Jarvis was a supervisor with the Iredell Vocational Workshop. On December 23, 1950 she married Robert Ezelle Jarvis, who survives. Also surviving is one son: Jeff Jarvis of Statesville, two daughters: Sonya Duckett (Jeff) of Vale and Brenda Frye (Tommy) of Union Grove, two brothers: Billy Shumaker and Bobby Shumaker both of Olin, one sister: Gail Davis of Statesville, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son: Robert Kent Jarvis , a sister: Dorothy Shumaker and a brother: Richard Shumaker.

Mrs. Jarvis loved to play bingo and to spend time with her grandchildren and going to lunch with her family

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with Mr. Edward Shumaker officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Grove United Methodist Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
