I met “Tup” McLelland in 1952-1953 when I moved from the city of Statesville to the suburbs on Hwy 115. I stared school at Central in my junior year. We became friends from day one! I was in her home often and loved her mother and sisters! We were together during school and after! I only attended Central one year and then I went to summer school and went back and graduated with my class. But the friendship between this beautiful person lasted for a long time. As time passed we each married and had families and we didn’t keep up with each other but she has always been in my heart! I’m so thankful for the sweet girl that I met at Central School and the friendship we shared for many years . To Brenda and the family, my prayers and thoughts are with you. She was such a wonderful person! God bless !🙏🏻 Naomi Teague Stikleather
