Floy Ann McKinney

Mrs. Floy Ann Cooke McKinney, 84 of Statesville, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born on October 14, 1932 in Burke County, she was the daughter of the late Harley and Veva Whitener Cooke. Educated in the Burke County Schools, she was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Statesville, where she was a member of the alter guild and funeral meal team. Mrs. McKinney and her husband were co owner operators of McKinney Realty in Statesville for over 35 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Darrell McKinney. Those left to cherish her memory is her son Art McKinney and wife Melissa of Statesville and grandchildren Madison Moss (Bailey) of St. Louis, Mo., Ben McKinney of Boone and Abigail McKinney of Statesville.

Visitation will be from 10:00 til 11 :00 on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Statesville with funeral to follow at 11:00 also at the church with Rev. Robert Dovenmuehle, minister. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Debt Reduction Fund, 465 Hartness Rd.
