Floyd Arnold Rollf, age 84, of Statesville, passed away on March 10, 2026. Born November 30, 1941 in Michigan, Floyd lived a life marked by hard-working determination, loyal commitment, patient strength, and devoted love for those around him.
Floyd worked for Clark Equipment as a machinist, a role that reflected his steady work ethic and pride in doing things the right way. He was well respected by family, friends, and the community, and his presence was one people counted on—reliable, thoughtful, and consistent in both word and action.
Above all, Floyd loved to take care of his family. That devotion showed not only in the way he provided, but also in the time he invested and the quiet ways he looked after the people he loved. Floyd enjoyed life as a whole. He loved to hunt, fish, and train time-trial beagles. A true handyman, he built his own home and many other buildings. He also found joy in racing go-carts, gardening, shopping, and playing the lottery—simple pleasures that added up to a life fully lived.
Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; by his father, Charles Floyd Rollf, and his mother, Bernice Francis Bristol Rollf, and by eight sisters. Floyd is survived by his sons, Charles Floyd Rollf of Hesperia, Michigan and Larry Arnold Rollf of Stony Point, North Carolina; by his stepdaughter, Norma McElfresh of Statesville; and brother, Russell Rollf of Buchanan, Michigan. He is also survived by grandchildren Adam McElfresh (Alisha), Samantha Benitez (Juan), and Adam Bucher (Sarah), as well as 13 great-grandchildren.
At this time, no public funeral services are planned.
