Frances Cheek Christopher

Mrs. Frances Cheek Christopher, 84, of Statesville, died Thursday April 14th at the Gordon Hospice House. Born in Franklin County, Georgia on October 11, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Cheek and Mary Crider Cheek. She was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers. She was employed in textiles for 48 years and loved to garden and crochet. She loved to read the Bible and spend time with her family and church family. She was a member of Calvary Community Church.

On July 15, 1944, she married Mr. R. B. Christopher who survives. Also surviving are a son, Richard Lee Christopher of Statesville, two daughters, Linda C. Martin of Mooresville and Judy Ann Jordan of Statesville along with a sister, Mrs. Juanita Christopher of Statesville, eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Services celebrating Mrs. Christopher's life will be conducted at 1 :00 Monday at Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with Dr. Donald Horton officiating. Burial will follow in Iredell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 :00 until 8:30 on Sunday at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
