

Mrs. Frances Long Taylor, 78, of 310 Stockton St., died Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at Gordon Hospice House. She was born in Brunswick County July 19, 1934, and was the daughter of the late Thurman and Henrietta Gore Long. She left this world for another, with such divine peace and tranquility that it allowed all her loved ones to share in her lifetime of love and be at peace with the next chapter of her being. Mrs. Taylor had worked at the K-Mart Eatery, Carolina B.B.O. and Statesville Auto Auction Cafeteria. This was her last and most joyful employment and years after her leaving due to health issues, she remembered fondly and lovingly, all her friends and co-workers who made her time there so wonderful. She is survived by one son, Bobby Taylor, of Virginia Beach, Va.; three daughters, Teresa Tucker (Jeff), of Statesville, Luann McLeod, of Statesville and Lee Taylor, of Jacksonville, Fla.; four granddaughters, Amber Mitchell, Ashlee Gregory (Chris), Ginny Allen and Angel Taylor; and three great-grand-children, Jenna Gregory, Ty Mitchell and Tristan Mitchell. Graveside services celebrating Mrs. Taylor's life will be held Thursday, Feb. 21, at 3 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, with the Rev. Jill Rhinehart officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be given to Gordon Hospice House, 2347 Simonton Rd., Statesville, NC 28625.
