He was born September 8, 1941, in Wytheville, VA, and was the son of the late George Wesley Burchette, Sr. and Emily Gravely Burchett Monaham. He was a retired construction worker and a U.S. Army veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Burchett, and a half-brother, Ernest Musser.
He is survived by a brother, Thomas "Tom" Burchett (Lisa) of Ormond Beach, Florida; two sisters, Gladys B. Sayers of Wytheville, VA, and Carol Johnson of Marion, VA; a half-brother, James Musser of South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
