Harold Martin Lundy

Born March 17, 1939 in Iredell County, he was the son of the late Hugh Clarence Lundy and Margaret Loyd Lundy.

Mr. Lundy is also preceded in death by a brother, Denny Lundy and his wife, Gladys Summers Lundy in December 1987.

Harold worked and retired from Southern Screw Fasteners after 32 years of service. He was a lifelong member of Hebron Baptist Church where he served on the Maintenance Committee, the Cemetery Committee and was the groundskeeper for many years. He also was a faithful member of the Charlie Tomlin Sunday School Class.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Robert “Marty” Lundy and wife, Lori; and his daughter, Debra Lundy, all of Statesville; two grandchildren, Samantha Lundy and Andrew Lundy; one brother, Donald Lundy of Statesville, and two sisters, Hilda (Carl) Moose of Salisbury and Pat (Fred) Hardee of Sparta.

The service celebrating Mr. Lundy’s life will be held Sunday, November 23, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Hebron Baptist Church with the Rev. Darren Johnson and Rev. William Wease officiating. Mr. Lundy will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will speak to friends and family following the service in the church fellowship hall.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rusty Moose, Ken Lundy, Don Church, Luke Church, Wally Eades and Brent Alexander. Honorary pallbearers will be Loyd Alexander and members of the Charlie Tomlin Sunday School Class.
