Thank you Mrs Helen for the wisdom and the stories that you shared with me, about all your wonderful clock's, allowing me to be a part of gathering those black walnuts and pares and for just allowing me to be a part of your life. To Jeff, your mom talked about you all the time, and was so proud of you, even though I've never met you I feel that through the love of your mom I know you. She was a wonderful person. I'm sorry for your loss and praying for you through this time in your life.

Dear Family,

I last saw Mrs. Helen at Herman's funeral, but I have fond memories of the Evans family when I attended church at Society Baptist. In the early 1950's Mrs. Mamie was my Society Junior Girls' Sunday school class teacher. Mr. Alfred and Nancy would play ball and other games with us at parties. I always enjoyed visiting Mr. Alfred and Mrs. Mamie in their golden years; I loved his stories of times past.

Grandma Maggie Thorne taught the Society Youth Sunday school class in the early 1940's. I have included a photo of her class, which includes Mrs. Helen (at right front row) and Mrs. Ruth (middle 2nd row). Some of you may have a copy of this photo, but I thought you would enjoy seeing it.

May you cherish sweet memories of Mrs. Helen in your mind and heart forever, and may the Lord bless and keep you in His care.

In Christ's love,
Shirley Diane Thorne

Sending my deepest condolences. Aunt Helen was a pillar of honor in our family. She was a Godly Christian woman Who I will always admire for her wisdom and Frankness. She taught me and my children many different things. I will always cherish the many stories she shared with me and my family. She was a great story teller. She knew all the family stories. We shared many many of laughs together, she had a great sense of humor. My dear Aunt Helen left a huge footprint in my heart forever.

My thoughts and prayers are with Ms. Helen's family. I loved seeing Ms. Helen on Sunday mornings in church. She loved children so much & was a precious soul. My husband will miss escorting her home after the church service. He enjoyed their talks as he took her home. She was a joy to know. ❤
