OBITUARY

Jack Dwight Eskridge

November 2, 1935August 19, 2019

Jack Dwight Eskridge, 83, of Statesville, went into his heavenly home on Monday, August 19, 2019.

Born on November 2, 1935 in Wilkes County, he was the son of the late Solon Eskridge and Gladys Adams Eskridge.

Jack worked as a repairman for Bassett Furniture in Statesville before his retirement. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He was a people-person who loved to tell stories and could always get anyone to smile.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Jacob Eskridge; sister, Linda (Mike) Eudy; and grandchildren, Jessica Eskridge and Justin Eskridge.

A funeral service will be held at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Monday August 26, 2019. Burial will immediately follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery with full military honors presented by the Iredell County Veteran’s Burial Detail.

Family of jack, this was a good man I was really close to jack he came into my work every single day and made my work day go so good and when I found out about jack I was Devastated Jack was like a best friend to me he was always there for me to talk to, he was always there to make me laugh, crack jokes with me, And he was there for me to vent to and now he is gone and has been on my mind a lot lately if anyone sees the rest of his family of jacks can you please reach back out to me and let me know what happened. I’m concerned.

PS you will always be loved by the entire world jack. I will miss you. ❤️
