Jack Edward Kaufman

STATESVILLE- Mr. Jack E. Kaufman Sr., 84, passed away on August 19, 2018.

Born March 7, 1934 in Buchanan, MI he was the son to late John and Ruby Ernsberger Kaufman. Jack served in the Air Force and retired after 30 years from Clark Equipment. After retirement Jack and his wife spent ten years in Arkansas with family, friends enjoying time on the pontoon, fishing and bowling. In 2000 they moved back to North Carolina where their sons and family were.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two sisters, June Steinbach and Ruth Fletcher.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Joyce Liles Kaufman; two sons, Jack Jr (Darla) and Todd Kaufman ; grandchildren, Ryan and Angela Kaufman; brother, Jim Kaufman and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his loving animals.

The family will gather on Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 1-3pm at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home in Statesville, North Carolina.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Veterans Shelter P.V.A.C, PO Box 1621 Statesville, North Carolina 28687.

So sad to see in the news today of Jack's passing and at the same time glad l saw it. Jack and his whole family were a part of my childhood: our parents were good friends; knew sibblings; lived around the corner from each other, then down the street. Good people.
