Jack Southers, age 97, of Statesville, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Autumn Care of Statesville. He was born on May 10, 1929, in Iredell County, the son of the late Kelly and Della Privette Southers.
He retired from Statesville Chair Company after working thirty-eight years, he also worked at Glen Eagle Marine Furniture for twenty years.
He was first married to Betty Parks who preceded him in death on February 17, 1963, and preceded him in death were a daughter Jackie Sue Southers, who passed away February 12, 1962, and a son Charles Southers of Duncan South Carolina, who passed away on March 25, 2026. Also preceded Jack in death were a brother Lexie Southers and two sisters Mary Cook and Annie White.
On April 2, 1965, Jack married June Deal Southers who survives. Also surviving are one son Mike Southers (Denise), daughter Jane Dearman of Statesville, daughter Carolyn Simmerman (Micky) of Greensboro, daughter-in-law Doris Southers of Duncan, SC and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Jack loved the Lord and held Sunday morning worship services in their home for many years.
Funeral services will be conducted at Bunch Johnson Funeral Home, on Thursday, October 8, 2026. Visitation for the family to receive friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., and the funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
