Jackie Lynn Jenkins, 65, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2026 in Winston-Salem. Born July 3, 1961, in Iredell County, North Carolina, Jackie will be remembered with deep affection by all who were blessed to know him—steady in spirit, gentle in manner, and devoted in the ways that mattered most. In the quiet strength of his presence, many found comfort, and in his kind heart, many found a place to belong.
For years, Jackie worked as a mechanic for Armstrong Flooring, bringing patience and care to honest work and taking pride in doing things the right way. Whether he was drawn to the craftsmanship of cars or the precision of guns, his interests reflected the same steady focus that shaped his life—thoughtful, grounded, and true to himself.
At the center of Jackie’s world was his family. He shared 25 years of marriage with his wife, Rosario Ondine Diaz-Mora Jenkins, and he adored his family—particularly his grandchildren. In countless everyday ways, Jackie built a strong foundation for everybody, offering love that was dependable and support that never needed to be announced to be felt. He was, simply and enduringly, beloved.
Jackie was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Allen Jenkins, and his mother, Frances Ann Dishman Jenkins.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Rosario Ondine Diaz-Mora Jenkins; his sons, Andy Jenkins (Cinthya) of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Allen Jenkins (Skylar) of Newland, North Carolina, Craig Jenkins (fiance Shelbie) of Statesville, Matthew Jenkins (Andie) also of Statesville, and Brian Jenkins (fiance Chloe); his brother, Homer Ball; his brother, Bobby Ball (Wanda); his sisters, Helen Thomas (Jimmy), Juanita Ashburn (Paul), and JoAnn Brown (Kerry); and Eighteen Grandchildren also are left to cherish his memory.
