Mr. James "J.E." Honeycutt Jr., 89, of Mooresville passed away Monday Sept. 7, 2015 at Summit Place in Mooresville. Born Dec. 11, 1925 in Iredell County, he was the son of the late James E. Honeycutt Sr. and Arie Goodnight Honeycutt.
A graduate of Troutman High School, he was a lifelong member of Shiloh Methodist Church. Mr. Honeycutt served his country in the US Navy. He retired from International Paper in 1988 after 12 years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife Wilma Honeycutt. Those left to cherish his memory are his numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Iredell Memorial Gardens Thursday Sept. 10, at 2 p.m. with Chaplain Rick Felts as Minister. The family would like to give special thanks for the care and compassion by the staff of Summit Place.
