James "Jimmy" Clayton Lawrence

Jimmy was loved by everyone he met and had the ability to make all his nieces and nephews feel like they were his favorite. Jimmy enjoyed cooking and dancing.

Jimmy was preceded in his death by both sets of his grandparents; his mother and biological father; brothers, Willie Lawrence, Kenny Lawrence and David Parks; and sisters, Pamela Lawrence, April Lawrence and Yonnah Parks.

He leaves to cherish his memory his father, Melvin Parks; life partner, Cindy Y. Blair; daughter, LaTronya Dulin; son, Tyrone Hamilton; grandchildren, Ta’Leah Dulin, Malonia Dulin and King Roseboro; his great grandson, Tay ‘Zain Dulin; eight sisters, Shirley Lawrence, Patricia Rucker, Carolyn Lawrence, Ruby (Brian) Woodberry, Teresa (Kenya) Rankins, Linda Smyre, Betty Parks and DoAlicia Parks; brother, Melvin Parks; aunt, Anette Bey (Marvin); two nephews that he spent a lot of time with, Kenddrick Lawrence and Justin Alexander; two lifelong best friends, Steve Dulin and Charles White; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A visitation for James will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
