

He was a native of Iredell County, born June 2, 1917 and was the son of the late Chal and Mary Lippard.
On July 6, 1942 he married Gladys Shoemake, who preceded him in death on January 14, 1982.
In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a son: Terry Joe Lippard.
Mr. Lippard had graduated from Celeste Henkel School and had been employed in the Naval ship yard and had been a supervisor at Fletcher Industries. He was a life time member of Bethel Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School and had, also, served as a Deacon for many years.
He was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt. He loved working in is garden and enjoyed sports and was an avid 'Tarheel' fan. Mr. Lippard especially loved his grandchildren.
He is survived by two sons: Richard M. Lippard (Lindsay) of Statesville and Ray Lippard (Sandra) of Statesville,
grandchildren: Michelle Y. Lippard, Stacy Ray Lippard, Tamara Ann Pharr (Gary), Karen S. Martin (Randy), Terry R. Lippard (Melissa) , Jackie D. Lippard and Tara Sharpe (Steven), two great grandchildren: Maegan Pharr and Alex Lippard.
His extended family includes: Charity Joyce, Crystal Holiday, Hope Riddle, Jeremy Melton, Melissa Link, Destiny Grace, Cheyenne Holiday, Hunter Joyce and Mikaela Joyce.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 P.M. at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
Funeral services celebrating Mr. Lippard's life will be hald at Bethel Baptist Church on Thursday at 2 p.m.
The Rev's. Brian Langley, Joe Woodward, David Turner and David Troutman.
Interment will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be: Stacy, Terry, Jackie and Roger Lippard, Kenny Isenhour and Mark Baynes.
Honory pallberers will be Deacons of Bethel Baptist Church.
