

JoAnne Poole, 62, of 133 Gethsemane Road, Olin, died Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born June 15, 1952, in Iredell County and was a daughter of the late King and Erma Mae Gatton Poole. She was formerly employed by Beauty Maid Mills and Capstar. At the time of her death, she was employed with Iredell Statesville Schools at East Iredell Middle School in Child Nutrition. She was a certified mastectomy fitter and manager of Attitudes for 12 years. She was also a member of Fairmount United Methodist Church where she served as Church Treasurer, Church Council Chairperson, Sunday School Teacher and Trustee. She was a graduate of North Iredell High School.
Survivors include a brother, Rickey K. Poole and his wife, Lynn, of Statesville; a sister, Lillie M. Poole of Olin; and an adopted brother, Larrry Macintosh of Clarksville, Tennessee.
Services celebrating Joanne's life will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Fairmount United Methodist Church with Pastor Marsha Joyner and Pastor Joe Conley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be, Jerry Lundy, Jeff Absher, Arlie Absher, Walter Joyner, Larry Macintosh, and Johnny Ely. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bryan Johnson, Fred Beaver, Bruce Jordan and Jimmy Shaver.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 this evening (Wednesday, July 30) at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
