John Franklin Bergandine

John Franklin Bergandine, 82, of Harmony, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. One of eight children, he was born on November 27, 1943, in Springfield, Illinois to the late Franklin Delano Bergandine and the late Verna Cushman Bergandine.

John was an extremely proud businessman and was the Vice President of Franklin Glue Manufacturing. He was also an active member of Grace Baptist Church in Statesville and served as the President of the Southeastern Furniture Manufacturers Association.

When he wasn't working he enjoyed fine woodworking and building furniture. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and spoiling his puppy dog, Dixie.

John was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Bergandine Campbell of Statesville; his son, Steve Bergandine of Harmony; his grandchildren, Jeanna Chapman (Josh), Joshua Kirk Campbell, Dustin Bergandine (Jessica), Daniel Bergandine (Casey), Callie Campbell (James), and Derek Bergandine (Shelby); and his seven great-grandchildren whom he adored.
