In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Rumple Boyles.
He is survived by children, Elaine B. Hartline and John Michael Boyles (Patsy); brothers, Bobby and Billy Boyles; sisters, Irene Cox and Betty Campbell; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 11am, at Iredell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 2, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
