So sorry to read of  your loss.  Some of my best memories are of going to their house in Indiana to pick up Lesley.  Please know that I'm thinking of you and that I care deeply.

My grandfather has now joined my grandmother. I am thankful he is resting. Sad that my Grams and Grandpa are both now gone. They were the best. I am glad my grandfather still knew me when he visited our house a few years ago. It was the last time I saw him. He was really struggling to find words then. Was so hard to see... I never think of him without thinking of grandma too. We had a wonderful 60th anniversary celebration with them. It was a surprise party. It was my familys  job to keep them busy and show up on time with them. We went out to lunch at one of their offbeat restaurants. It was a rustic place where of course they were greeted by name. After that my grandpa decided we had to go to Grandfather Mountain (NC) to walk the mile high foot bridge and take in the view. We had no idea how far we were going! We made it back a little late, but we made it without them suspecting a thing. I think. Grandpa took real good care of Grandma and vice versa .  I spent a few weeks every summer with them when they lived in Indianapolis. Summers were great!  I got to spend time at their campground and go to the State Fair. Just staying where they lived was fun by itself with the big gigantic public pool. It was always fun to hang out, drink pop and eat pizza and watch them bowl on their league. I am sure that started my love of the game. They took me to Indianapolis Motor Speedway. I loved to sit in the cars (you still could back then) and ride in the bus around the track feeling like we would roll over. I am sure that is where my love of racing was born. Later they moved to Statesville NC and I didn't see them as much anymore. They came up to Michigan to see both my sons when they were born and other special occasions. I was happy they were happy living near the mountains.  I know they really enjoyed the annual Highland Festival on Grandfather Mountain. My grandpa was a first generation US citizen whose parents and grandparents came over on a ship from Scotland. He also served in the Navy during WWII and spent a lot of time in a blimp overseas.  He had great stories to tell. They never had much money but they really lived their lives doing the important stuff, taking care of and spending time with family and friends. I could go on and on. I am very thankful for the time spent and joyful memories. Rest in Peace Grandpa.

My grandpa was one of my favorite people in the world when I was growing up.  I remember when he and my grandma still lived in Michigan they would stop by and bring coffee and doughnuts.  When they moved to INDY, I would spend part of my summers with them.  My favorite part of the week was when Grandpa got off of work on Friday nights and we went out to the Music Factory with the huge pipe organ.  Grandpa, thanks for always being my speghetti buddy when everyone else ordered pizza.  Love you, Tracy

I am sorry to hear of the passing of your dad.  He was a good man and a valued mentor to many of us.  I have very good memories of him as one of those who helped our scout troop.

I didn't know until now that your mother had also passed.  She was a lady.

My they both rest in peace, rise in glory and all who mourn them be comforted.

So sad to hear of his passing, but glad it was an easy passing and he is no longer in any pain.  Cheryl, Cecelia, and John, know that you are all in our hearts at this time, and always.
