Joseph Hollingsworth Carter III

He was born on August 8, 1944 in Sacramento, California and was raised in Mooresville, NC. He was the son of the late Joseph Hollingsworth Carter, Jr. and Sadler Neely Carter.

Surviving are his wife, Jane Kennedy Carter, whom he shared his life with for 50 years. They were married on July 31, 1965; three children, Joseph Todd Carter (Shawna) of Statesville, David Kennedy Carter (Kathey) of Raleigh and Kimberly Brooke Johnson (Roy) of Broken Arrow, OK; ten grandchildren, and three siblings, James N. Carter (Deannie), Elizabeth “Betsy” Duckworth (Tommy), and Mary Waldron (Chuck).

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Believers Faith Center Church 336 Brookview Road Statesville, NC. A service of Celebration of his life will follow at 2:00 PM.
