LeRoy F. Templeton

Mr. LeRoy Francis Templeton, 69, of 134 Homestead Road, Harmony, died Saturday September 15, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Born in Iredell County on January 26, 1943, he was a son of Roy H. Templeton, who survives and is of Union Grove and the late Annie Lee Bridges Templeton. LeRoy was a real estate broker and enjoyed walking property for his business and working with real estate friends and associates. He appreciated all their prayers and support through the years. He was a graduate of Union Grove High School and in his early years worked for the Statesville Record & Landmark.

Survivors in addition to his father, include his wife, Carol Williams Templeton whom he married on May 5, 1962, a son, Avery Williams and his wife, Krista of Union Grove, a daughter, Marilyn Rash and her husband, Randy, of Hamptonville, a sister, Margaret Ann Templeton of Rural Hall, N.C. and four grandchildren: Austin Williams, Melissa Cronk, Amber Houser and Matthew Rash.

Services celebrating Leroy's life will be conducted at 11:00 A.M Thursday September 20, 2012 at Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor R.C. Redmond and Pastor R.J. Redmond officiating. Pallbearers will be: Larry Caudill, Barry Brown, Jerry Rhyne, Harry Tsumas, Steve Rogers, Steve Pope and Randy Bridges. Burial will follow with a graveside committal service at 3:00 P.M. Thursday at the Smith Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the chapel service at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
