Leville Murdock Overcash

Leville Murdock Overcash, 81 years old of Troutman went to be with her Lord on May 8, 2016. Born on August 4, 1934 to the late Lake and Pearl Myers Murdock. Mrs. Overcash was a 1954 graduate from Mooresville High School. She retired from Celanese Industries in Salisbury, NC and previously worked for Troutman Shirt Mill in Troutman, Trail Blazer in Statesville and she also worked for Carolina's Home Health Care as a CNA.

Mrs. Overcash was predeceased by her husband Robert Overcash in 2005, her son, Timothy Lane Overcash in 2013 and her brother, Dennis Murdock. She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Carter of Mooresville, her brother, Charles Murdock of Statesville, her sisters, Louise Moore of Statesville, Dale Moore of Troutman and Shelby Jean Karriker of Troutman and her 5 grandchildren, Preston Beaver of Durham, NC, Brandon Beaver of Cullowhee, NC, Aaron Overcash of Troutman, NC, Ryan Overcash of Troutman, NC and Katy Carter of Mooresville, NC.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday 11am at Shady Grove Baptist Church, Statesville, NC with the burial to follow in Iredell Memorial Gardens, Statesville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gordon Hospice House, Statesville, NC in Mrs. Overcash's memory.
