Margaret Ann Lowtharpe Cartner

She was born in Iredell County on December 18, 1937, and was a daughter of the late Thomas Roy and Emma Haire Lowtharpe. Ann loved her cats and dogs and enjoyed crafts. Earlier in life she enjoyed trips to the beach and cruises. She was retired from Hunt Manufacturing Company.

She was preceded in death on April 11, 2008, by her husband, Carl Patterson Cartner, whom she married on December 24, 1954. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Jerry "Bub" L. Lowtharpe, an infant brother, Jimmioe A. Lowtharpe and two sisters, Katie Overcash and Dean Rash.

She is survived by her sister-In-Law, Betty S. Lowtharpe; nephews: Andy Rash, Chris Overcash, Kelly Overcash (Della), Louie Lowtharpe (Lorri), Latney Lowtharpe (Judy); nieces: Lana Overcash and Loretta Bowers; and a number of great nieces and great nephews all of Statesville.

Services celebrating Ann's life will be conducted at 2:00 Monday December 30, 2013, at the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. David Childress officiating. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be: Cody Overcash, Jerry Sherry, Jimmy Kyles, Aron Rash, Alexander Rash and Austin Rash.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
